Log file: opens the IDE, click on Reload, Close the IDE

Upon startup, the Welcome Page a.k.a. Start Page (Tab) displays  "Error while loading content" underneath "Featured Demo".

This appears to be a recurrence of bug# 194248 where the screen shot is fundamentally the same.

Log @ line 545 or so includes a "Click" on the "Reload" button, which causes a caught Exception.

The three machines I tested on have working Firefox and/or WebKit browsers, and are able to "Take a Tour". Machines have latest updated versions of Netbeans 7.3

This error occurs on the following operating systems:

Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit Home Premium) Intel Core2 T5300 CPU 2Gb RAM 

ubuntu 12.04 LTS (64-bit) Intel Core2 T5300 CPU 2Gb RAM

Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.2 (Kernel Linux 2.6.32.300.3.1el6uek.x86_64) 
-GNOME 2.28.2, AMD Phenom II X6 1090T CPU 8Gb RAM

I am seeing a similar issue with the 'News & Tutorials', while, strangely, the 'Blogs' list is just fine.

Also, I am unable to pull down any plugins via the plugin install tool.

any time it tries to pull the config files from the server at 

http://updates.netbeans.org/netbeans/updates/7.3/uc/final/certified/catalog.xml.gz?unique=NB_CND_GFMOD_GROOVY_JAVA_JC_MOB_PHP_WEBCOMMON_WEBEE04745d023-a7ce-4f30-9d6c-c820460b4f69_5b6e2369-ccab-41c2-92fd-cc8694e42969

it errors out.

I have tried a number of different settings.

please fix!!
