In the case of classes with "main" methods, it's likely that System.out and System.err is the appropriate mode of interaction.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.

Still there, but definitely not high priority IMO. Feel free to close again if it's not worth the effort.
