nb3.4dev (Orion & nb3.3.1 too) jdk1.4.1 - b09 Start e.g. 3.4dev build with fresh userdir on jdk1.4.1b09. Open two e.g. txt files in source editor. Undock one tab into separate window. Now you should have two internalframes in the desktop. Press CTRL+F6 (or CTRL+ALT+F6) several times to cycle between these two windows. Now click into one frame and try to write. Then click into the second frame and try write. Now you shouldn't be able to write into both frames. If you do not see described behaviou, try repeat last two steps several times, or come to my office to see the problem on my workstation. Strange is that this works on jdk1.4.0 but not on jdk1.4.1. I wrote simple testcase with JInternalFrames, however it worked on jdk1.4.1. Seems like more complex example similar to our ide would be better. Filling this one as P2 because very annoying, no workaround and because evaluation is needed asap if the problem is on JDK side. Also see bug #4672231 filed against jdk describing some problems with mouse events.
jzajicek, please mark the bug with JDK_1.4 keyword if it only happens on jdk 1.4.x
Added JDK_1.4 keyword.
It seems it is jdk 1.4.1 bug (bugtraq #4664322). Will wait till it is integrated, to see whether the problem remains.
The JDK bug has been fixed in 1.4.1 beta. Please verify
On jdk1.4.1_b11 it seems to be working again.
verified in [nb_dev](20020527) & [jdk1.4.1](12)
Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
