Description tha_specializt 2013-02-21 09:25:55 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.3 Beta 2 (Build 201211062253)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on x86
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_11
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 23.6-b04

after trying to run a HTML5-project within 7.3 Beta 2 (public channel) with "Chrome with NetBeans integration" selected the extension-notice pops up.
Selecting the link "locate" deactivates all input, the whole IDE-process (netbeans.exe) has to be killed manually. The cursor turns into the hand-symbol and nothing is selectable, not even the window-close button (X) on any (!) window within Netbeans.

Maybe a duplicate of issue 225130?

more like 225103 - but yes, this seems to be the exact same problem. So i guess since it reappeared there is a real bug behind it - and the fact that it happened on linux suggests that is hidden deep within the core-code .... just my 2 cents.
Someone should re-open it start regression-procedure of sorts

apparently marking as duplicate closes a bugreport ... which doesnt make any sense at all so i shall re-open it now.

Tomas, you fixed bug 225130 - can you confirm if this is a duplicate or not? Thanks.

Reporter, it would be great if you could try the latest post-7.3 trunk build from http://bits.netbeans.org/download/trunk/nightly/ to see if this still happens for you. Thanks.
Comment 7 Tomas Mysik 2013-03-04 05:15:47 UTC
Very likely duplicate of issue #225130 but hard to say without a thread dump [1] - please, reproduce the freeze and attach it. Also please try the development version of NetBeans, see the previous comment.

Thanks.
