At present, to interact with a remote Mercurial repository, I have to go through the menus. It's sometimes easier if I'm doing a lot of repo work to have Tortoise Hg Workbench open and use the toolbar buttons in there. Could we have buttons in the toolbar in a section next to the existing commit button to: 1) Check for changes in the default repository 2) Pull from default 3) Check for changes to go out to default 4) Push to default please? 2) and 4) are particularly important - with a sufficiently intelligent implementation, 1) and 3) could be periodically updated status indicators, with a manual refresh on click.
Agree, would be nice to have buttons, just like we have buttons for commit and update. Or at least make them more accessible in the menu. Right now if you right click on a project, it's the second sub menu.
