Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 20121107-8a32d5144c55) Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.8.2 running on x86_64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_37 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 20.12-b01-434 it often happens that i want to lookup an issue based on it's id or summary. The filter field might be of use if the issue already is in a query, but that doesn't have to be case. So the only way is to do it via the new query dialog and then either search after summary or use the goto action. Not only that is too much steps to be done, it's also that a query dialog has to be open (and stays opened) in the editor area. It's just too heavyweight. an action on a repository node (menu and icon), opening a modal quick search ui (similar to "depends on" in a issue dialog) would be convenient.
