Description peppertech 2012-11-01 22:45:19 UTC
When an HTML project is run, or page is run, using the NetBeans with Chrome Integration target, a temp page is briefly shown while the debugging session is setup between the IDE and the new page.

That temp page should show a spinner graphic, with the text:

"Connecting the NetBeans IDE to Chrome..."

The text and spinner should be centered in the page, both vertically and horizontally.

Probably David's area.

In offline email thread [SUBJ: "description of states during IDE-Browser handshake"] discussion we've agreed that this needs a professional UI design. Liza could you arrange that please? Thanks.

Liza, could you please check whether this issue is still active?

Thanks.

I believe this issue was originally filed in a situation when there was a system-specific performance issue, which meant that the temp page was displayed for a long time (several seconds). In such a situation it would be important to have the spinner. When the loading is fast however (which hopefully is the current situation), then IMO the spinner is a nice-to-have optional improvement. Changing to enhancement.
