installer screenshot

Customizer shows Upgrade action for many modules even though I had removed all previous NB installations and userdirs.

Can you reproduce it? What previous versions did you have?
If you can reproduce it, please describe the way.
Comment 2 Stepan Zebra 2012-11-13 13:08:44 UTC
There was some 7.2 or 7.2.1 installation for sure and maybe some others. I removed whole NetBeans folder under Applications and cleared all NetBeans Application Support and Caches data, before I run the installer on screenshot.
I don't have any backup of complete state from that day. If I do the same now, I see 'Install' next to each NB module, 'Upgrade' is now only next to Glassfish and Tomcat.
I've seen this 'Upgrade' label placed inappropriately (==there was nothing to upgrade) few times before during various installations. I don't have exact cases, but as it is, it doesn't seems to be very precise.

Actually don't know what causes this behavior. I was also unable to reproduce this bug.

Stepan, please tell us immediately as you see this bug on your computer and keep the installer log (/var/log/install.log)

Thanks

log

I see it again, here is the log.
Comment 5 Stepan Zebra 2013-08-01 12:36:10 UTC
To reproduce the behavior:
1) install some NB non-full pack
2) remove the installation
3) run installation of NB full pack

Thanks for the log.

This is caused by Mac OS caches. When you had installed NetBeans, the system remembers it and when you install it again, the installer initiative marks some components as Upgrade. But the whole installation runs correctly.
