I have seen issue number 54757 from loooong time ago and the comments there. I agree in that "Configuration Files" is a logical view and not a directory view, still I think it would be very intuitive to have a "New" item in the drop down menu of that node. Well, it was at least the first place where I looked for it when I wanted to create a new faces-config.xml file...

This is probably request for Web Project ... It looked to me quite useless since we will not be probably able to identify just configuration files now. On the other case all nodes of the Web Project logical view have "New" or "Add" action except the "Configuration Files" one, so it makes sense to me as well to add it there.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
