Synchronize editor with views could work with files on the include path. At the moment it doesn't, see:

Note: some users may want an option to enable/disable this feature. Personally speaking, it doesn't matter, because I see this more as a bug rather than an enhancement.

Unfortunately too late for NB 7.3. I will implement it for the next version.
