Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.2 (Build 201207171143) Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_05 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.1-b03 When editing a JSP file, and working in Java code in that JSP file, when a Java class/method/field/etc is under the caret, various context menu items that are available when editing a Java source file are completely missing. - Navigate -> Go to Source - Navigate -> Go to Declaration - Navigate -> Go to Super Implementation - Navigate -> Go to Implementation - Show Javadoc - Find Usages - Insert Code - Fix Imports etc. I don't know, but is it the same when working in other file types where Java can be embedded? JSF, for instance? Many people work in both Java and JSP files. When editing Java code, I believe it is more than reasonable to expect the editor to work the same regardless of the location of the code. The lack of this functionality is usability problem, and it is all the more visible -- and more frustrating -- when it is so readily available at other times. This could cause users to reject Netbeans when choosing an IDE.
Responsibility for JSP editor.
