This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
The current Netbeans ftp only allows you to download the entire site or individual files for editing. However what if you were developing a site that contains over a thousand files? It took me almost an hour to download a site that ran on a Joomla framework (around 3000 files) on a decent internet connection. I think it will be a good idea to be able to connect to the server and view/browse the file directories without downloading them. Double clicking a file will download it temporarily for editing and saving it will automatically upload it back to the remote server - like the current upload-on- save option. This will be a time saver if included. Thanks for your time.
I guess you are talking about PHP support, right?
I agree! I'm using Notepad++ for 'quick fixes', but I would like to use Netbeans for it as well. Since my netbook has a small SSD, I don't want to download all projects I'm working on.
