When building an installer for a NetBeans Platform application, it would be very useful indeed to be able to choose the icon that is used for the shortcut created by the installer on Windows. The icon of the shortcut can be quite independent from the icons embedded in the .exe to which it points. So just setting the icon property for the shortcut should do the trick. That would mean that it would no longer be necessary to manually change the .exe icons to achieve the same result. :)
