Description John Jullion-ceccarelli 2012-08-01 21:19:58 UTC
08/01 build. Selecting in the DOM works but Selection mode in the internal browser does nothing.
Comment 1 Jan Stola 2012-08-02 09:27:31 UTC
I am sorry, I am not able to reproduce this issue. What you describe sounds like Selection Mode being switched off. Any chance that this issue is related to issue 216281? Only the last 'Selection Mode' button was working when there were several of them. Anyway, if you are still able to reproduce this problem then, please, provide more details (whether it happens for any HTML file or just some specific ones, etc.) or exact steps to reproduce. Thank you in advance.

Actually this is related to the protocol relative URLs taking a long time to load. While they are loading:

* Selection mode doesn't work
* DOM tree doesn't fully populate
* Other weird behavior, like a hovering over a node in partially populated DOM tree highlights the node but only with a very long lag (~20 sec)

This is in both internal and chrome.

So now when we have the internal web server and we no longer open the pages from filesystem directly, does this still happen or is it fixed now, John? Can this be closed?

I personally can not reproduce in the latest build.
