System: Linux version 3.2.0-24-generic running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb)

there is no javaFX platform anywhere on the machine. This message is highly confusing, because it suggests something is going on on the background, but in reality nothing happens...

should be fixed by changeset

which improves on how the detection process is communicated to users.
If problems show up again please reopen.
