If a file has not been changed for months or years, in the "History" panel one has to click several times before the next available change is shown. I think that the ide should skip all the empty periods.

i guess we should reconsider that action in general  

in case you are too often in this situation, you can also try to right click the "load next 30..." node and select always load all

let's classify this as a defect - the discoverability of "load all" is an issue confusing people.
