Concearning the upcoming multi-line tab feature outlined in http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=172512:

As seen on http://netbeans.dzone.com/sites/all/files/multi-row-tabs-4.png, if multi-line tabs are used with "right" or "left" alignment, the "close" buttons next to the file names are not aligned in a vertical row, but instead, simply placed next to the centered text, which makes closing multiple windows quickly very difficult as I have to adjust my pointer repeatedly.

Suggested solution:
-) Move "close" bottons all the way to a suitable edge if the tab (far or near edge from the editor window)
-) Reconsider alignment of filename in tab, e.g., always align filename left.

i've already tried that. the problem is that JTabbedPane UI centers the header component and i couldn't find any reasonable way to stretch it across the whole tab width.
patches are very welcome:)
