I am using tortoiseSVN and svn via netbeans. Recently tortoise asked me to upgrade to 7.x and when I tried to do updates on the svn repository it asked me to 'upgrade' it to the new 7.x version. So I did that since i thought there is no harm. HOWEVER :) : a) suddenly Netbeans complained that it cannot read the newer repository (7.x) anymore. So I had to install a collabnet svn 7.2 and suddenly everything worked again. b) After I installed NB with an external svn client it detected that some branches where still 'old' (6.9), but Nb didn't give me any assistence with 'svn upgrade' so I had to do that using TortoiseSVN I suggest: 1) If netbeans detects that is has to do a svn upgrade, then it should assist me doing this automatically for me. 2) If netbeans detects that it needs a newer client even external utiltiy since, the repository is newer than what the current client can handle, than netbeans a) should install a newer available bundled client if available, if not available it a) should lead me to the correct implementation: eg: http://subversion.apache.org/packages.html#windows or even download and install the new client for me Regards Tom Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.1 RC1 (Build 201112051121) Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 21.0-b17
