I was about to report a NetBeans performance bug (in the Debugger module) so I took a profiler snapshot using the self-profiling action (Profile the IDE).
I successfully saved the view (screenshot) of the suspicious callstack using button "Save Current View to Image". Then I wanted to save the profiler snapshot to a .nps file so I pressed button "Export to..." and specified file name (without the .nps extension). It caused quite a long and intensive activity of the HDD so I looked to the Documents folder. The .nps file was there and it had zero size. I thought that it would be a large file and was not yet written so I decided to wait a little bit longer. But the file disappeared after a few seconds, together with all other files in the directory! The IDE deleted all files in the Documents folder but the (now empty) directory structure remained.

The IDE then reported some error while saving the snapshot file (which I did not take snapshot of).

I am attaching the IDE log file which also shows signs of the wiped Documents folder.
