Description incubant 2011-05-09 13:32:26 UTC
Summary:
On my Windows 7 Laptop, I'm not able to update a CVS workspace, while NetBeans is opened. If I'm updating while NetBeans is opened, WinCvs starts to update, but a few seconds later, it escapes with following exception:

cvs [update aborted]: cannot rename file CVS/Entries.Extra.Backup to
  CVS/Entries.Extra: Permission denied

***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****

When i close NetBeans and redo the procedure, the update works fine. The WinCvs Version is 2.1.1.1 and NetBeans is 7.0.

Reproduction:
 - Open NetBeans
 - Open WinCvs
 - Update workspace in WinCvs
 - wait until update abortes
 - Closw NetBeans
 - Update workspace in WinCvs
 - update is working fine

I have the exact same problem here. I'm also working on a Win7 machine + NB 7.0...

I was trying to do a repo-checkout while nb was opened => same CVS-exception as shown below

Closed nb, restarted the checkout => CVS works fine
