Netbeans cannot be pinned to any dock on Linux: Docky, Cairo Dock, AWN etc.
This problem becomes more important after Ubuntu 11.04 release, which brings new Unity environment with dock-like Launcher by default, and you cannot pin netbeans to launcher.

please run a plain java swing application (e.g. swingset demo app in your JDK folder) and reopen if that application docks fine.
