lagging php file

rendering problem when navigating with keyboard and mouse (very very slow compared to netbeans 6.9.1)

To reproduce open the php file in attachement
press and hold the "down arrow" and notice the rendering lag.

I'm not sure if it is related to the php editor or all the editor...

Is it reproducible always? I can not notice the slowdown. Could you provide a head dump at the moment?

Although I can not say that is very very slow, I have now feeling that is the scrolling really slower than in NB 6.9. Although the processor is 100% consumed and the memory is growing during scrolling.

After going through the two attached snapshots and talking with editor guys, I reassign the issue to the editor infrastructure.

I have several performance improvements in the view hierarchy that I'm currently working on and that should be available in 7.0.1.

Yes, once I integrate the fix it will be first available in dev builds and then I will also integrate it to a branch for 7.0.1.
Downgrading to P2 since this does not qualify as P1.
