This morning while using NB to peruse some diffs in various projects the ide hung, burning 100% of the cpu. The last project that I tried to generate diffs for was utils.nb, which shows up at the end of the log.

messages.log and a stack trace from jstack attached.

A 500MB heapdump.hprof was generated too, but not sure if this was side effect of jstack or something else.  Not attached.

After restarting ide, running the same diff on project utils.nb again did not hang.

Bug #194816 has most likely the same root cause.
