Created attachment 107555 [details] nps snapshot When right-clicked any project file in the project browser and instructed netbeans to -download- any file from FTP, slowness occures until the download confirmation dialog is displayed) Slowness also happens to me when trying to manage ftp connection in -create project- dialogue. (e.g. after closing ftp manage dialogue window).
not a stopper for NB 7.0 , we will do our best to fix it into 7.0.1
According the last snapshot, the 15 seconds is spend in the reading password. I don't understand why. When the snapshot was taken?

I tried to download/upload files/folders from/to ftp server and no slowness occured, so for me it's verified... Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.0.1 (Build 201107211357) Java: 1.7.0; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 21.0-b17 System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb)
