Description Dennis Daniels 2002-01-12 12:33:22 UTC
One of the things I really like about SourceForge is that when i log in all of
my issues appear immediately. With NB I have to click through bugs>enter a
query and then access my issues.

if this can be done easier then it should appear in My start page as a
preferences
thanks
Dennis
Comment 1 Dennis Daniels 2002-01-12 12:52:17 UTC
additionally user system config should be part of start page
configuration so that users do not have to keep entering system
config into issuezilla, saving bookmark config in IZ does not work
Comment 2 Dennis Daniels 2002-01-12 12:59:00 UTC
after setting my prefs to have my issues appear at the bottom of each
page they are not appearing

Page footer

The 'My issues' link at the footer of each page: should appear

this means to me that all pages when i'm logged into www.NB my issues
link will appear everywhere on the site...as it is I can't find a
single page where my issues link appears even in IZ

thanks
Dennis
Comment 3 Dennis Daniels 2002-01-12 13:03:54 UTC
sorry I found another issue/incosistency/request for enhancement in
the my issues link

after setting my issues to appear at the bottom of each page it
doesn't appear in my start page either

if the user preferences were saved 'more efficiently' then this would
reduce clicks and server load

many thanks
Dennis

OK, trying to sort through the issues here. To better track them
I am going to file seperate requests as seperate issues.

1) "My issues" link should appear on MyStartPage. This is very true,
we have had this request before.

2) IZ preferences link should appear on MyStartPage. Less obvious,
but if there is going to be an issue section there, then this would
probabaly be useful also.

3) "My Issues" in footer is not appearing. I've verified that this
does not work. Dennis note however that even if it did work I believe
it would only appear in the footer of IZ pages, not every www.nb.org
page. I've filed this as issue 20034.

4) "My issues" link does not appear in footer of MyStartPage. I think
we can consider this part of 1) and 3) ?

So, overall, Collab can you take a look at 1) and 2) here. Thanks.

Comment 8 John Jullion-ceccarelli 2002-03-12 15:12:36 UTC
Please put the File an Issue, Jump to Issue, Issue Search, and
Advanced Query fields/links on the My Start Page as well.

An enhancement request to have My Issues appear on the My Start Page
exists and is being considered for the Danube release of SourceCast.
This responds to item 1 in Jack Catchpoole's 2002-02-01 02:26 PST
comments.

Clarifying status whiteboard.
Comment 12 Unknown 2002-08-20 22:31:51 UTC
The target for this issue has moved up sooner to Truckee2
release of SourceCast. Updating status whiteboard.
During the upgrade to that release we can verify this
issue or reopen if necessary.
Comment 13 Unknown 2002-08-20 22:48:17 UTC
Created a separate issue for tracking the request to have
IZ preferences appear onthe My Start Page as well. It will
not necessary be included in the the request to put the My
Issues link on the My Start Page and we wnat to make sure
it is addressed.
This part of the request is now netbeans issue 26661.

I know Collab has a roadmap available somewhere (on the extranet I guess), but I
can't find it now. Is Truckee2 = SC 2.6.2 ?

This issue is over 3 years old :-(
Comment 16 Unknown 2006-06-08 19:40:14 UTC
This is doable now as a link to the start page by adding a link with the following:

http://www.netbeans.org/issues/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=runuserdefault

This link can be called as "My Issues". Is this solution acceptable?
Comment 17 jcatchpoole 2006-06-09 11:29:13 UTC
Sounds fine but I don't understand what you mean. I don't see any issues link
on MyStartPage, nor any way to add it.
Comment 18 Unknown 2006-06-10 00:14:47 UTC
This can be done either by CommunityNewsRightColumn.html.html or through the
NavColumn.vm file. Just for clarification, this will not generate a list of
issues (my issues) on the start page (as proposed in the attachment); however
it will create a link which will do just that when clicked.

Attaching a snippet of the screen shot.

Sounds like I need to edit CommunityNewsRightColumn
Comment 21 jcatchpoole 2008-05-07 12:50:43 UTC
Oops, lost issue.

I've added a link to "My Issues" on the community home page, as well as to StartPage, in the right column, the only part
of the page we can modify.
