Created a new Web Project, and added 3 servlets. Coded in those, and then cliked on "saved all". After that from the last 3 hours, it is showing "Deploying webapplication1"

How often does it happen? Does it result in some malfunction or is it just a visual feedback which was not removed correctly after your project was deployed? I assume for now that it is harmless UI only defect.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
