Product Version = NetBeans IDE 6.9 (Build 201006101454)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_20
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 16.3-b01

I have to have a separate install of JDK1.6.0_20 64-bit, just for NetBeans 6.9, to run Swing Design view without it hanging; which is absurd and a security issue!

This problem does not occur in NetBeans 6.8 with JDK1.6.0_22 64-bit, however I prefer to use NetBeans 6.9.

Could you please generate thread-dump during the hang and attach it into this issue http://wiki.netbeans.org/GenerateThreadDump?
