There should be a possibility to override the global checkstyle configuration on project level.

Have an option under Project/Properties/SQE/Checkstyle like

 - Use Global options
 - Use project specific options:
   |.../checkstyle.xml                           |
 - Use Maven Configuration (only available if NB found one)

default should be maven configuration if it was found.
