Crash of JVM is a bug of JDK, please report this one against Apple. Thanks in advance.

While I understand it is being left as a JDK bug, ONLY netbeans crashes with this bug in OSX. Perhaps Netbeans should look into a work around?

Unfortunately no way to workaround in netbeans code. The thread reported as crashed in the log is calling from Apple's java code to system native libraries at the moment of crash.

I assume this is not related only to NetBeans, but also to other Java apps.

You should be able to reproduce also with some other Java apps, like the SwingSet2 demo. After finding where it resides on Mac, run "java -jar SwingSet2.jar"
