I have been using the admin UI to manage file downloads for the openide.netbeans.org project. It works fine to update descriptions and so on. Unfortunately the download page is getting a bit large and does not all fit on one screen. I would like to reorder the displayed downloads, putting the most important ones at the top; but this does not seem to be possible, other than by deleting downloads and readding them (and hoping this makes them appear at the bottom). Please consider some simple UI for reordering them in the Edit Downloads servlet page. (I am not sure if there is a conventional way of showing reordering in HTML forms though.)
Jesse- thanks for the suggestion. I'll submit a request to project management about this.
*product* management, sorry!

Product management tells me that in SourceCast 1.2, there's a new downloads/documents section which sorts things alphabetically and allows you to move things between folders. So, you can create a folder for "Archived Downloads", or, alternatively, you can rename files so that they sort the way you want them.
This has been fixed in SourceCast 1.2. We can verify or reopen if necessary when we upgrade.
Updating the whiteboard .
Feature as mentioned in desc5 is now implemented. It is now possible to create Subfolders. Moving unwanted files to a separate folder can help in this case. Marking this issue as verified
