nfuchs: Just playing in the IDE

GUEST: Yet again just logged in and this error is shown.

genericprodigy: This occurs each and every time I initialize the IDE. It began occuring when I removed the iReports extensions, which leads me to believe that Jasper removes the shared library during uninstallation for some reason.

Windows only. In each case seems to be referring to a missing JAR. Need some way to reproduce, or at least information about whether the mentioned JAR in fact exists. Looks related to Auto Update - exceptions seem to be related to add-on modules, not core.
Comment 3 dlipin 2010-04-27 07:22:39 UTC
Looks like the same as Issue 159093 - all reports mention */modules/ext/something.jar missing. The issue marked as fixed but is likely not.

The issue is spread among different jars (don't know which particular modules they are from) - e.g. for 6.9 Beta it is reported against:

modules/ext/MozillaGlue-1.9.jar
modules/ext/javax.wsdl-1.6.2.jar
modules/ext/base64-2.2.2.jar

Most (MozillaGlue/base64) comes from org-netbeans-core-browser-xulrunner.jar which Class-Path definition in its manifest.mf:

Class-Path: ext/base64-2.2.2.jar ext/mozdom4java.jar ext/MozillaGlue-1.9.jar ext/MozillaInterfaces-1.9.jar ext/mozswing.jar

But the corresponding NBM does not contain required files:

Comment 4 133794m3r 2010-04-27 07:54:50 UTC
i'm on windows 7 x64 pro atm and the issue itself was also seen in ubuntu 9.10 x64 with netbeans 6.9 beta so it's gotta be something with the jars as someone else has said. I don't know what else to say about this thing. Any other things i can provide i shall as to help the process.
Comment 5 Jesse Glick 2010-04-27 15:42:01 UTC
Indeed the published NBM is bad. 'ant -f core.browser.xulrunner/build.xml nbm' includes the right JARs.

We are aware of this. Robert, can you please fix this? Thank you!

I guess that is due to Issue 185192.

Robert, any update on this? Thanks!
Comment 15 rosswald 2010-05-18 13:21:31 UTC
I updated to 201005122200, so far haven't noticed it.
Comment 16 rnovak 2010-05-18 15:38:51 UTC
A new version of module org-netbeans-core-browser-xulrunner is now staged. Could you, please, test it?
Comment 17 Jaromir Uhrik 2010-05-20 13:03:16 UTC
Installation of the module from staging update center is fine on my WinXP machine.
Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the bug in the module without fix so that I am not able to say whether the fix contained in the staged module is OK or not.
Comment 18 Jiri Kovalsky 2010-05-20 14:26:13 UTC
Me neither. Robert, please publish the new version of xulrunner.nbm module. Thanks!
Comment 19 rnovak 2010-05-21 14:57:06 UTC
I pushed the new version of NBM to the live UC.
NOTE - to install this module, please, uninstall the corrupted module from you
IDE and the correct version of the UC. The correct won't show up automatically
for installation.
