I imported a project from 3.2.1 to 3.3 b6. When I switched to the new project I had an error message dialog. The explanation attached to the error can hardly be read.
Created attachment 3696 [details] give me some space...
does it happen to you reproducibly? If no we won't fix this one. The reason why the Dialog's size lies deep in Swing/AWT. If we cannot reproduce the bug then it will be very hard to do anything with it
it happens every time.
please zip your old 3.2.1's userdir and attach it to this bug report. Which OS/JDK are you using?
My zipped userdir is 14M, so I suggest you try reproducing it this way: 1. create a project in 3.2.1 and configure it to use some module (e.g., JASM). 2. Try importing this project to 3.3 b6, where the JASM module is disabled. If this doesn't help - I'll attach my zipped dir.
If this issue is to be fixed, then I think it should be fixed before 3.3 get out the door, since most people will import projects then and not later. So take this into acount when prioritizing.
It's true, when some errors are cathced by this dialog the description is unreadable - solution is to resize the dialog. This problem is very old (afaik from the time when the project error dialog was introduced). Passing to Vita, it's projects dialog.
Well, I will look what could be improved, but definitely not in 3.3.0, probably for 3.3.1.
I've change sizes of error description area and errors list area to be approx. equal. The description is readable now.
Verified in release331, message is visible now.
Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
