Can you set Menlo as the default monotype font for Mac OS X Snow Leopard? Your Mac OS X users will be happier: http://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/41824/add-menlo-as-monospace-font-for-mac-os-10-6-users

Well, if Menlo font is superior over the other fonts we should use it everywhere in the IDE (not ony in the editor). I don't know much about fonts and fonts in java, maybe this can be somehow configured in Snow Leopard's java installation.

if the jdk in mac os x uses menlo as the default font, then netbeans will pick it up and use it as well.
