Description Michael Nazarov 2010-02-04 03:13:35 UTC
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201002040200)
Java: 1.6.0_18; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 16.0-b13
System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1251; ru_RU (nb)

Two jMaki plugins can not be installed from default UC provided
with installed IDE. Editor Library plugin required.
Comment 1 Jiri Kovalsky 2010-02-04 03:54:37 UTC
I have contacted Ludovic Champenois (owner of the jMaki) plugin and asked for resolution. If the dependency problem will not be resolved in a timely manner, the jMaki plugin will have to be withdrawn from the Update Center.
Comment 2 Jaromir Uhrik 2010-10-12 11:57:04 UTC
This P1 is still open and is reproducible in:
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201010112200)
Java: 1.6.0_20; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 16.3-b01-279
System: Mac OS X version 10.5.8 running on x86_64; MacRoman; en_US (nb)

So that the wrong jMaki plugins are available at:
http://updates.netbeans.org/netbeans/updates/dev/uc/final/main/catalog.xml.gz

Jirko, what is the "timely manner"? We can see that the issue is opened for more than 8 months. I vote for removal of these plugins immediately because there is no reason to have them available when they cannot be installed.
Comment 3 Jiri Kovalsky 2010-10-12 12:03:37 UTC
I agree. Since Ludo didn't resolve the issue I ask Robert for removing the jMaki plugins from the UC. Roberte?
Comment 4 rnovak 2010-10-12 14:00:16 UTC
Done. JMaki plugin was removed.
Comment 5 Jiri Kovalsky 2010-10-12 14:10:52 UTC
Thanks. Did you also removed the plugins physically or you only updated the configuration?
Comment 6 Jaromir Uhrik 2010-10-12 14:13:30 UTC
Robert, it seems that you have removed jMaki only from .xml but not from .xml.gz file. This gzipped catalog is registered in NetBeans IDE so that for users it is still not fixed. I am reopening - please fix it also in .xml.gz file.
Thanks.
Comment 7 rnovak 2010-10-12 14:18:11 UTC
They are removed physically.

Jara, it is not possible to add/remove module only from .xml or .xml.gz file
It seems that propagation of new file to updates.netbeans.org is again slow or strange. It means that new .xml are already propagated. .xml.gz will be propagated later.
Comment 8 Jaromir Uhrik 2010-10-12 14:21:45 UTC
OK then. I will verify it later.
Comment 9 Jiri Kovalsky 2010-10-12 14:47:09 UTC
I see, we just have to be patient again. Thanks for your answer Robert.
