Description Jesse Glick 2001-11-15 21:51:45 UTC
[dev nov 14] Open Search Filesystems with the keyboard only. If you
want to search on a substring, KB focus is already there; great. Say
you want to search on Object Type instead. You Sh-Tab twice to select
the Full Text tab, and then press Right intending to press Right again
and Tab into the Object Types panel. Instead the first Right switches
you into Object Name but also drops focus into the Substring field. So
you have to backtab out of it again before switching to the next tab.
Would be more convenient if Right/Left on the tabs stayed on the tabs
so you could quickly move to a different tab.

I agree -- focus should stay on the tabs after arrow press, as per the
Java Look and Feel design guidelines. The user can shift focus to the
content pane with the tab key or Control-down arrow.
