I'm using NetBeans 6.8 and am trying to create a SAR archive for deployment to JBoss.

The closest I can find is to create an EJB 3 project so that I can get NB to automatically deploy the .SAR file.  With
this approach though, the deployed file always has the .JAR extension rather than the required .SAR extension.

It would be useful if NetBeans allowed SAR file projects to be created via the File | New Project wizards as this would
make development of SAR archives against NetBeans much easier.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
