Description jingram 2009-10-25 07:46:59 UTC
When following a simple flow for creating test reports based on the 'Code Coverage' tool, NB 6.8b cannot run a PHPUnit
test because "test file for the selected source file was not found".

Follow these steps:

1. Create a directory structure:

-netbeanstest
  -application
     -models
-Media.php (contains a class called Default_Model_Media, along with various methods)
  -tests

2. Create a new PHP project from existing sources (netbeanstest is the root directory)

3. Right click on the project to 'test' it - set the tests directory to netbeanstest/tests

4. Right click Media.php -> Tools > Create PHPUnit tests

5. Right click on the project to set 'Code Coverage' > 'Collect and Display Code Coverage'.

6. Click 'Test' in the editor pane at the bottom of the IDE.

7. Information alert: 'test file for the selected source file was not found'

Will attach project structure.

Does it help if you invoke Source > Scan for external changes after a unit test is created?

Thanks for cooperation.

Thanks for the reply - your suggestion results in an error. Procedure followed after your suggestion:

1. Open the project
2. Open the single test file
3. Source > Scan for external changes

Results in null pointer exception that I have logged at this location
(http://statistics.netbeans.org/analytics/exception.do?id=287621)

Hi, your NPE is already fixed, it's issue #174887. Could you try a newer build? Beta should be fine I guess or use
our development build [1].

Thanks a lot.
