[dev nov 8] Updating the parser DB for a filesystem which already has a DB does not give you the option of changing the access level to store. So if you originally make a DB for a filesystem using default levels, and later decide you really want to store private members too, you would have to manually delete and recreate the DB. You should be given the option somewhere to change the level when updating.
I agree that it is -DEFECT-, but I doubt we are able to fix it for 3.3. Therefore (of course if you agree) I propose to change this to ENHANCEMENT and increase priority to P1 and improve it in next version. There are other issues which are planned for next version and which are related to ParserDB like removal of old databases etc. There is definitely missing central place where the parser databases could be managed.
Sure, if you were planning to provide a "parser DB management console" or something anyway, that would be a great place to put this.
(You probably want to mark this a FEATURE, it sounds like more than just an incremental enhancement to existing code.)
Target milestone was changed from not determined to TBD
Parser DB was replaced by MDR
Verified in build 200412221900.
