Description rdelaplante 2009-10-12 14:06:05 UTC
I have two nearly identical projects. One is a Java EE6 web project using Maven, and the other is a Java EE6 web project
using NetBeans' own project type (ant). I have a class annotated with @ManagedBean in both projects, but can only add a
breakpoint to the ant project. I cannot add a breakpoint to the class in the Maven project.

I have many other Maven projects open and can add breakpoints to them. It looks like this bug is specific to Java EE6
Maven projects. I'm using NB 6.8 M2 on OpenSolaris 2009 06. I will attach the sample project.

cannot add breakpoint means the ui doesn't let you to add one, or the running app doesn't stop at the breakpoint?

reassigning to glassfish for evaluation, i'm not aware of any special code needed to deploy/debug on gf3.

When I clicked the line number area to the left of the line I wanted to add a breakpoint, nothing would happen. I
expected a red box to appear, and the line to be highlighted in red. I later found that I could add breakpoints to
other classes, just not this one which was a JSF ManagedBean.

okay that sounds like an editor issue, though...
Comment 6 Miloslav Metelka 2011-10-05 08:39:24 UTC
This should work fine in 7.1.
