Under Ubuntu Linux 9.04, NetBeans 6.5, JDK 6-14 - no jdbc database present -- also, when I select Desktop Application, 
the Next, I get no "Database Application" option - just "Basic Application," or whatever that selection is.  Works 
fine under XP and NB 6.7/JDK 6-16, but should also work in 6.5/6-14, no?

Please attach the messages.log from you IDE (use menu item View|IDE Log), it seems you don't have full IDE build or some
part are disabled.
