Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200908060201) Java: 1.5.0_19; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_19-137 System: Mac OS X version 10.5.7 running on i386; MacRoman; en_US (nb) I have clear build with clear userdir. When I am trying to open JIRA project from the cloned NetBeans repository for the first time the Open Project Dialog doesn't allow me to open required projects together with JIRA - see attached screenshot1. When I do this action for the second time then the required projects are offered to be opened together with the selected project - see screenshot2.

Problem of ergonomics. When support for given project type is disabled then IDE cannot understand that there can be some subprojects. After you enable e.g. java support it's no more reproducible.
Milan is right. Workaround is to choose "Open Required Projects" from the popup menu of just opened project. This is a duplicate of some already reported bug (marked as won'tfix), I can leave this open, but I do not think it will be addressed.
