nothing gets printed when i print...

I hadn't really noticed it before because I usually print from the command line using a2ps.  but i wanted to print a
class diagram and nothing came out.  I looked at the logs, and there is a null pointer exception, but it doesn't give me
enough information to look much further.  I can print from my command line, and from other applications like firefox and
openoffice.

I forgot to describe the environment.  This is centos linux 5.2 using cups.

our printer is a multifunction color laserjet (HP_Color_LaserJet_CM1312nfi_MFP)
