Description sldr 2009-07-07 16:48:28 UTC
In the "Add Hudson Instance" dialog I enter the url for hudson then click the add button and the "Log in to Hudson"
appears. When I type in my username and password the dialog closes and the "Add Hudson Instance" dialog displays an
error saying "Connection to server failed or resulted in error.". The username and password work when using a browser
to login to the hudson server. The username and password are simple (all letters no special chars). In the "Log in to
Hudson" dialog the Server field displays "http://build2.eng.tditx.com:8080/?checking=redirects" (without double
quotes). If I browse the url http://build2.eng.tditx.com:8080/ from vista with IE8 I get a 403 Forbiden error. I must
go to the url http://build2.eng.tditx.com:8080/login instead. The username has full privs (all hudson priv checkboxes
are checked). The "Anonymous" user has no privs checked.

Netbeans Info:

Version: NetBeans IDE 6.7 (Build 200906241340)
Java: 1.6.0_14; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 14.0-b16
System: Windows Vista version 6.0 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb)
Userdir: C:\Users\derudder\.netbeans\6.7

Hudson Server Info:

Version: 1.314
URL: http://build2.eng.tditx.com:8080/
System: Windows XP Pro SP2
Plugins: Default + Hudson Active Directory plugin V1.14
Security Realm: Enabled and setup for using a windows active directory domain
Security Authorization: Project based matrix authorization

Note:
I setup a second hudson server with security realm set to hudson's own user db and login screen still failed. When I
set the anonymous user on hudson to overall read priv checked it stopped asking for login in netbeans and setup the
hudson server.
