Description Tim Lebedkov 2009-06-22 14:24:52 UTC
It seems I am not able to define shortcuts for Mercurial actions like "Status" as there are no actions defined for
"Tools/Options/Keymap" so I have to do:
- right mouse button over a project
- Mercurial
- Status (in a submenu)

Although Netbeans UI guideline says that it is better to keep menus "stable" (do not move or disable items depending on
the state of the IDE), it would be nice to be able to configure the local project menu.

I would then move "Mercurial/Status" one level up and to the top so the item is more easily accessible. Additionally I
would like to define a shortcut for this menu item.

On the other hand menu items like "Test Restful Web Services" are never used and could be moved to a deeper submenu.

So here are some ideas how this could be improved:
- completely configurable menus or
- an IDE-wide shortcut for a search box in a popup similar to what we have at the right top corner with local commands

Tools/Options/Keymap -> Mercurial - Show Changes. I can see it in the keymap.
In the menu Mercurial -> Show Changes is the topmost item.
The menu was reorganized long time ago.
