Description Jan Chalupa 2001-10-18 18:16:54 UTC
I'm not able to view the following pages on the qa.netbeans.org site:

http://qa.netbeans.org/q-builds/index.html
http://qa.netbeans.org/man-suites/index.html

The browser starts loading the page, but loads the main www.netbeans.org page
instead. I've tried to checkout the file, did some changes, and committed them
back without problems, but it didn't help.

The same link worked two days ago.

It's a P1. Users are used to check the q-builds/index.html page regularly to
see if a new Q-build was promoted.

I check files, HTML code is correct. I guess problem is into live
location of this files like in live site maybe exist file .index.html
and Apache can not display real index.html. Please Collab check live
location of this directory. I think it is really P1 because those
pages are important for qa module.

Some more observations :

Using wget from a command line, I see that the page is temporarily
redirected, to "q.netbeans.org/xxxx". This only happens with the
directory "q-build/"; some other directory name, without the "-",
works fine (http://qa.netbeans.org/processes/bugs1.gif works fine,
http://qa.netbeans.org/qbuild/ correctly returns a 404
for example).

My guess is that the q- in the directory name is somehow interfering
with the qa.netbeans.org hostname; when you go to a non-existent
nb.org hostname, like somesillynamethatdoesntexist.netbeans.org, you
simply get redirected to www.netbeans.org. So qa.nb.org changes to
q.nb.org, which doesn't exist, and browser is redirected to
www.nb.org.

Not sure where the "SummarizeList" bit comes from though ... ? I
wonder if this is related to issue 13490 - the old mailing list
archive message redirects just implemented ?

Just my guesses. wget output below if it is useful.
