It happens when you have less text than the window height.
This usually happens with a freshly cleared term into which
only a few lines have been written.

If you select more lines than text is on and then you change vertical size of OW
to be smaller than selection -> selection is lost.

Everything is ok if - selection isn't lower than text
                          - more written lines in OW

Decrease the priority (conditions of appearance are very improbable) 
and reassign.
