Description davisn 2009-05-07 00:47:18 UTC
-The Netbean IDE can not find GlassFish v2.1 and Apache Tomcat 6.0.18 servers when start with V3 experimental option
-This problem happens on OpenSolaris, not with winXP
-This problem does not happen if I start IDE without V3 experimental option

Steps To Reproduce
1. Install NB 6.7 trunk (05/06/09) build on OpenSolaris 2008.11 with jdk1.6.0_13
2. Start the NB IDE with V3 experimental option
3. Expand Servers node
BUG:
Only "GlassFish v3 Prelude Domain" server appears in the Servers node

you may want to use the GlassFish v3 Enabler instead of the command-line argument.... see
http://blogs.sun.com/vkraemer/entry/experimental_features_marker

I just tried this on my Solaris box and cannot reproduce it...

Can you reproduce this 'every time' or is it random?
Comment 4 davisn 2009-05-07 20:32:53 UTC
-The problem is non-reproducible if using the GlassFish v3 Enabler
-Consistently, I was able to reproduce it on both my Solaris x86 and my OpenSolaris box

lowering to p4... since using the command-line switch is not the recommended way to start the experimental support anymore.

this is a problem with something that does not apply to 6.8.
