When working in NetBeans 6.5, Fedora 10, if I try to insert a curly brace by pressing Alt Gr + curly brace key, it won't show any character.
It works for me on a Mac, I don't have access to a linux machine right now. This issue might be specific to your configuration. I assume you can enter the curly brace in other applications, is it correct? Can you enter it in NetBeans when using a Java language or text editor?
Yes, you're right. The only editor where I can't insert curly brace is NetBeans.
I only work in NetBeans for PHP, BTW
Could you please try to create a text file (.txt) inside your project and try if you can type '{' in there?

What version of JDK do you use? Is it possible to enter character using alt gr in notepad demo? (can be found in {jdk_home}/demo/jfc/Notepad)
We need a way to see the problem here in order to make any fix. I am closing the report as incomplete - if there is a way to reproduce the problem in someone else's setup please reopen. Thanks.
