Description jtamayo 2009-02-12 15:26:22 UTC
When working in NetBeans 6.5, Fedora 10, if I try to insert a curly brace by pressing Alt Gr + curly brace key, it won't
show any character.
Comment 1 Tomasz Slota 2009-02-15 11:43:49 UTC
It works for me on a Mac, I don't have access to a linux machine right now. This issue might be specific to your configuration.

I assume you can enter the curly brace in other applications, is it correct?
Can you enter it in NetBeans when using a Java language or text editor?
Comment 2 jtamayo 2009-02-16 13:51:31 UTC
Yes, you're right. The only editor where I can't insert curly brace is NetBeans.
Comment 3 jtamayo 2009-02-16 13:53:21 UTC
I only work in NetBeans for PHP, BTW
Comment 4 Tomasz Slota 2009-02-16 14:33:30 UTC
Could you please try to create a text file (.txt) inside your project and try if you can type '{' in there?
Comment 5 jtamayo 2009-03-21 16:05:00 UTC
Sorry for the late response.

I created the txt file. Still nothing.
Comment 6 Tomasz Slota 2009-05-06 13:59:39 UTC
in such case this problem is not specific to PHP, reassigning
Comment 7 Jiri Prox 2009-05-06 16:58:18 UTC
What version of JDK do you use?
Is it possible to enter character using alt gr in notepad demo? (can be found in {jdk_home}/demo/jfc/Notepad)

We need a way to see the problem here in order to make any fix. I am closing the report as incomplete - if there is a way to reproduce the problem in someone else's setup please reopen. Thanks.
