I am obliged to refresh the project node with the reload action after creating a resource folder.

It is probably due to the fact there is no listener listening the file creation ;) .

it works for src/main/resources folder or any folder in src/main or src/test folders, it doesn't work for custom locations.

-> P4, I consider it a minor issue with a clear workaround

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
