Hi, I think there should be a possiblity to handle project by more than one version control system. Many people starting to use for example mercurial locally and subversion as central repository. For now there is no possibility to add mercurial support to project which is in svn. After initializing new mercurial repository locally support for svn operations in netbeans just disappears.
Or perhaps it will be easier to let the user choose the version control that is used for current project and switch it at any time? I'm using Mercurial and Subversion together in a couple of projects and it'll be great to have such an option in Netbeans.
the VCS infrastructure wasn't designed to allow multiple VCS systems on a project, yet as suggested by the previous post - switching vcs systems for a particular folder tree should be good enough workaround => duplicate #146824 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 146824 ***
